The
Wine Country Inn www.winecountryinn.com
The Wine Country Inn
is right off the main highway, turn right on Lodi Lane, and you will see signs
to the left at the first street. A new vineyard is being planted and the entire
view now will be fabulous. This is perhaps the best value in the valley with each
room a little different, wine and cheese in the evening, and breakfast in the
morning. Great, friendly staff, and great help and advice of where to go and what
to see. The owner and his wife were working the desk, taking reservations, and
the entire staff was always very helpful and friendly. A neat trick I found was
that you can spend time at the nearby wineries or go down to Deer Park Road, make
a left, and you are on the Siverado Highway--left is Duckhorn.
It seems you can only buy their wine at their winery --you need an appointment
for a tour, but once you've seen how wine is made, you basically have seen them
all as the process is very similar. You can buy wine here anytime and that is
a definetely worth a visit and turning right from Deer Park, there are more places
than you can visit in a week.
